The Gittell Urban Studies Collective 2020 dissertation fellows are Caroline Loomis (Earth and Environmental Science), Anna Zeemont (English), and Rom Lewkowicz (Anthropology).
Romm Lewkowicz completed his PhD in anthropology at the Graduate Center of City University of New York. He is currently a Postdoc Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology (Halle, Germany). His research and teaching draw on political theory, critical legal studies, and ethnographic methodologies in an effort to reevaluate our understanding of the history and experience of migration, border regulation, and postcolonial migration regimes.
